District 9

I went to see the Neill Blomkamp film District 9 last night and all I can say is WOW! This is not your typical Sci-Fi offering as some may assume from watching the theatrical trailer. Filmed in a handheld documentary style, there's a much more important story being told here than you might think. I must warn those who have not seen the film that it is extremely violent but never gratuitous. At the risk of revealing any spoilers, I will not say anything more about the film here.

As an introduction to the story, I've posted the original District 9 short film by Neill Blomkamp which the full length movie is based on. For those who have seen the film, I welcome your comments but please watch the spoilers.
